I've directed conceptual and editorial development for some of the biggest names in licensed games by carefully reviewing and revising the concept, design document, narrative, curriculum, character assortment, script, title, packaging, and marketing. Examples? Of course!
Working with Outright Games, I created Nick Jr.'s first multi-property platformer, bringing together the Nick Jr. family of Dora, PAW Patrol, Blue's Clues & You!, Santiago of the Seas, Bubble Guppies, and Blaze and the Monster Machines. Click the image for a taste!
My role:
- Develop the concept of a "Friendship Fiesta" to support crossover gameplay/narrative
- Organically debut the rebooted Dora in game content
- Revise and rewrite Narrative, Game Design, and scripts across all levels
- Brainstorm IP-appropriate obstacles, "lose a life" conventions, and meaningful roles for popular antagonists like Swiper, Crusher, and Bonnie Bones
- Integrate new characters per marketing priorities and key curriculum per property (ie. Spanish for Dora and Santiago, STEM for Blaze, clue play for Blue)
For a more adult "family" experience, I worked with Playside Studios to create a narrative and creative approach to a city builder & battler game in which players join the Corelone Family to expand their empire in New York, Vegas, Cuba, and more. Click the image for a primi.
My role:
- Develop narrative levels from iconic script beats
- Craft authentic dialogue for classic characters
- Create guidelines/dialogue for original characters to offer modern gamers a diverse playable assortment
From sleeping with the fishes to caring for cows, I shepherded the Blue's Clues & You! sandbox, "On the Farm," from concept to completion, ensuring property integrity and curriculum throughout. The game won a 2024 Kidscreen Award for "Best Alternative Game Preschool." Click the cute, clued-in image.
My role:
- Concept game with producer and partner
- Link gaming conventions to the iconic blue puppy and her world through true-to-brand action, locations, and curriculum
- Rush revise script to pivot to a generic narrator when pandemic restrictions made talent inaccessible
This partnership was a work of art! Nickelodeon and the Metropolitan Museum of Art joined forces to teach preschoolers about artwork from different countries and cultures with their underwater friends, the Bubble Guppies. You guessed it - click that fintastic image!
My role:

- Develop a swimsational, IP-relevant way to teach preschoolers art appreciation!
- Tailor script to preschoolers, keeping art explanations age-appropriate and character actions and dialogue on-brand!
